No Designs yet

I followed your very simple instructions for Simple Scraper and entered all my shirrt.woot sales stat urls line my line in the shirt manager, clicked ‘Add Live Designs” amd whe I go to ‘Review Dashboard’ it says “No designs yet” The weird thing is I tested it yesterday with a few sales stats URLs and it worked perfectly, immediately.

Now next to the “Black Manage shirts" button to the left it says “syncing live” with a blu e cicle animation to the left of it. I submitted the stats URLs over 2 hours ago, so I don’t think it’s a woot denying scraping timeout issue. And it’s also told me “ Refreshed xx minutes ago” multiple times, but no refresh has occured. I’m getting no error messages either. I tried uninstalling the chrome extension twice and enabling it and disabling it multiple time. To no avail. Any assistance you could proved would be appreciated. Thank you.

Dave

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for the report, and I'm sorry it's been frustrating. Let me get you sorted.

First, don't worry about the "syncing live" text. It's just a small label on the screen; it isn't actually working away in the background, so nothing is really stuck.

Here's what's happening in plain terms: when you add a lot of sale-stats links all at once, the extension runs out of room to save them, and right now it does that quietly instead of telling you. So it ends up looking empty and shows "No designs yet," even though you did everything right. That's why it worked fine with a few links, but not with the whole list.

The good news is I've already fixed it. A new version is on the way that removes that limit, and Chrome will update your extension automatically, usually within a day or two. So this should clear up on its own very soon.

One handy tip for the future: uninstalling the extension erases everything it has saved (all your designs and sales history). So if you ever reinstall, do it in this order so you don't lose anything:

    1. Open "Manage shirts" and click "Export backup." This saves a small file to your computer.

    2. Uninstall, then reinstall the extension.

    3. Open "Manage shirts" again, click "Import backup," and choose that file. Everything comes back.

To get you moving right now, before the update arrives: try adding your links in smaller groups (say 40 to 60 at a time), clicking "Add live designs" after each group, instead of pasting the whole list in one go. And just make sure you're signed in to shirt.woot.com in the same browser you use for the extension.

One small thing that would help me: roughly how many links are you adding in total? That tells me how much room to make.

Sorry again for the hassle. You'll be all set on the next version either way, and thank you for such a clear report. If anything still isn't right after it updates, just reply here, and I'll jump straight back on it.

    Cheers,
    Luis
